Digitalist Becomes the Service Design Partner for the City of Helsinki

Digitalist has been selected as a service design supplier for the City of Helsinki frame agreement. For the next four years, Digitalist will supply Helsinki with services within service design, user experience design and digital user interface design.

The length of the frame agreement is two years, with an option for two additional years. The estimated investment for the four-year period is 5 million euros. Helsinki selected a total of eight vendors for the frame agreement.

Helsinki is the capital of Finland, and also the largest city in Finland with a population of over 640 000 persons. According to its strategy, Helsinki will invest heavily on citizen centric service development, support innovation and new business to make Helsinki the most desirable place to live, do business and participate in public life.

“The frame agreement with the City of Helsinki proves again the capability Digitalist has in transferring strategies and visions to everyday life through our award-winning service design offering. Helsinki looked for companies who could help them to materialize their vision of citizen centric, co-creative and innovative capital, and I’d like to extend my thanks to them for placing their trust in our service design competence. This co-operation strengthens our already strong Finnish Smart Citizen account portfolio that consists of e.g. City of Vantaa, Population Register Centre, HSL, KELA and many other significant public services.”, says Ville Tolvanen, CEO of Digitalist.
